Dragon Closed Due to Rockslide - 3/16/2012

In case anyone was planning a trip, Killboy just posted the following on Facebook...

There is a rock slide on hwy 129, The Dragon (3/16/2012) near mm 9.5, both lanes are blocked. The road will be closed to traffic for a few days while the clean-up crews work. We are hearing that it will be closed through the weekend. We will update with any new information as we get it.

Almost exactly this time last year. But it was closed for a lot more than just a weekend. Hopefully that's all this is.

Actually, once they opened the road to motorcycle traffic, it was probably the best time ever to ride that road. There was no car/truck traffic at all, and exactly two TN State Troopers who didn't even try to hide.
