What is the down side to Cutting a hole in air duct to make clearance for a speaker

i'm no expert and in theory, i believe the ram air ducts provide positive pressure air flow to the box to help the engine breath and sneak in a bit of top end power at a high rate of speed. blocking 1 or 2 might not achieve a straight flow anymore. if you decided to say screw it and go ahead anyway, i would at the very least seal the ram air duct around the speaker very well. just my opinion

if ur not drag racing/circuit racing, do what pleases u. by high rate of speed u would need 2 be running over like 90mph. if ur putting speakers etc, aerodynamics and air speed wont matter. a small speaker cutout prob wont effect the million other air leaks in the ram airs

Well, they weren't put there for no reason. What I would rather see you do is cut into the dash bezel around he gauges and put a speaker there, or in the hump (A friend of mine has a tv/DVD player and speakers on his that way) because lets face it, busa's are fast! and should remain that way.

I would think a regular hole would do...
