Clutch lever

i recently bought chrome levers for my bike and put them on. when i tried to start the bike it wouldnt start. after examination i realized that the new clutch lever dosent push in that black little piece to trigger it to start. i was wondering if that black little piece that gets pushed in is anything mechanical or if i can just tape/glue it down. any suggestions please let me know.

There is a brass "cam" that you need to swap from your old lever to your new.

yea i got that swapped over and it still dont hit

it hits the hydraulic part of the clutch, it just dosent hit the little black thing. its kinda like how the kickstand has the sensor to tell if its up or down, but i dont know if its just a sensor or if it does something mechanical
