Center of Gravity

Someone mentioned in an earlier post that the Bus has a higher center of gravity than a touring bike or a low seated V twin. The Bus isn't really considered a race bike, and I was wondering if race bikes have high centers of gravity also.

Also, once the bike is broke in, I would like to run it through the first 4 gears at full throttle, but avoid the wheelie situation. Any tips there? Doing wheelies on a bike this new to me seems like asking for trouble.

Sportbikes do have a higher center of gravity but they handle it very well. The Busa has got a lower center of gravity than my R1 did, but they are designed that way. In general a stock sportbike has more clearance than a cruiser or a touring bike which automatically takes the center of gravity up.

As far as 1-4th with no wheelie, its all in the throttle management (you)...
