Brembo Master Cylinder
So, I finally got around to installing the BMC and reservoir.
Taking a page from John's book, I drilled and tapped an M6 hole in the top clamp. I did this to get enough clearance for the Zumo, can still see the speedo and have a sight glass in the reservoir. I have two extension arms for the reservoir that attach to the end clamp for the cylinder, but they wouldn't work because of te switch housing that I am using; also, the res is slightly larger that needed because I like the way it looks
The Galfer lines from Pashnit worked great, they angled the line fittings specifically for Brembo application.
Bleeding the cylinder took longer than I thought until I burped the tubing- no idea why that didn't occur to me in the first 30 seconds... LOL.
the calipers took about 10 seconds- literally. I left them full of fluid when I changed the lines (I use Motul 4 so there was no mixture issue, I use the same stuff each time) and the speed bleeders absolutely rock!!!
The only real issue with the install was The brake switch; I had to cut and install new connectors as the stock switch is not retained and the Brembo switch uses plug instead of spade connectors. No biggie though- and Snooki was there to help!
Tomorrow for the test flight
w00t!
