Back on a hayabusa

Hello people.
I sold my 2K Hayabusa after riding it for 2 yrs.
Stopped by the stealership and bought a new 08 Blk/Char.
It's raining and the roads are all shmucked up so I didn't take it home today.

Pic's later.

I have a brand new set of Dymag's that I never installed on the 2K bike.
Hopefully they will fit the new one.
Anyone know if they will?

Mike

Congrats! Think they will fit and that's the color I'd get.

If they don't fit you should be able to get new bearings(maybe a nice set of ceramics). That should be the only difference.

And congrats.

Congrat's, Mike!

I did talk to my dealer about your situation, and he said he would have worked something a little better for you, but he only has the one Orange/Black left in stock, none of the Black/Charcoal. After this Orange/Black is gone (and several guys swarming over it while I took photos of the B-King today), he's only getting one more K8 in, and that's the last of his entire allotment (5) of 2008 Busa's for the year ....

And just after I took the photos of the B-Kings Nissin brakes... it was sold, itself!

I have read both here and at BusaNation.com that wheels are NOT interchangeable with the Gen I bikes, but I (personally) don't know that to be a fact, since this is my first Busa.

Welcome to the oRg!

...the same one I have. You're gonna love it.

I'll have to do some investigating into the fitment of the wheels.
If not, I've already got them spoken for by a friend.
I'm going to concentrate on making this one stop and handle better.
We all know the engine makes decent power, even stock.
If the reports are true about the weight being 594 lbs. wet,
I see no reason it couldn't be whittled down to 525 lbs. without going to the poor house trying.
I'll change the pipe and use a Power Commander to dial it in. Maybe investgate the airbox mod. After that, the engine is done IMO.

First things first, wait for the roads to clear up and ride it home from the dealer.

The ZRX is down the road as of Monday.

Warchild,

Thanks for the help.
The salesman called yesterday and said he would play the game since it's the last sales day of the year for them.
Even threw in the blue Fieldsheer Aqua jacket I'd been trying on.
Maybe that's a trend others should try, buy it on the last sales day of the month to meet their quota.
Just a thought.
Bottom line is I got the bike for the price I'm happy with.

Let the fun begin!

I rode him home in the rain this morning.
Must be the new tires/still greasy, it was twitchy.
Checked the tire pressure and sure enough they were both jacked up to 42 psi.

The more I stare at it the more things I discover.

I'm happy!!

BTW the dealer has an orange/black and a blue one on the floor ready to go.
No B-King.
