Just a quick one to share with you before im off to bed. 11pm here.




Today.

Nice lazy Sunday evening. Sat back in the recliner in my living room
All alone in the house. Feeling very relaxed.
Quiet and peaceful, doors and window's closed....

.... and this BIG FAT possum walks right by my chair, FARK!!!!
Scared the FARK'IN beejeebus out of me !!

I like Possum's, I think they are funny, but christ, he could have knocked or something !!

Imagine, home alone, feet up and something the size of cat
but the colour of a rat walks past you......

That don't look like the opossums here, but was that IN YOUR HOUSE ?
I was sitting on a bench swing one morning drinking a coffee, and wasn't paying attention, and glanced down by my feet, and saw the biggest squirrel right between my feet, and my reaction was to jerk my feet away, which in return scared the crap out of him making him jump, then I freaked out, and spilled hot coffee all over myself.

Yeah, Possum was wandering about in the house.
I think he got in over the garage door. Kicked them out of the roof/loft a few times.
They have no fear, they are just like big, fat, slow stupid cats. Even though this one didn't want to leave he was happy to take bread or apple of me.


I love Australian wildlife...... most of the time.....

New world High jump record set today... by me.
Down in a trench, sanding up over new pipes and putting down warning tape and
along come's a brown snake along the trench behind me.

Had a smaller one earlier in the day do the same.
I lost sight of it and when I looked again a "mate" threw a stick at the back of my legs,
that came joint 1st in the world high-jump !

I couldn't live in Australia, EVERYTHING wants to kill you there I'd rather live in Africa, and deal with all the big predator animals (not that I'd be happy about that either), but at least you can see them. You guys have so many poisonous snakes (and I am SO fascinated by them), and on top of that you have some wicked spiders, and don't even think about going in the water.

Wild life's not too bad.
You get used to it and live accordingly.

Its the Spiders most folk have a problem with....
This guy's not too bad, I see him quite regular,

but I have a few Golden Org spiders, they have been known to catch birds.

I love the wildlife here.
