My second gear jumping problem is getting worse and happens now quite frequently under heavy load. I will need to repair the tranny this winter. If you have RnR'd the tranny before:
-What special tools did it take?
-How difficult was it?
-How long did it take?
-Briefly describe all involved.

If you have had your tranny back cut:
-WTF is it and what does it do for you?
-Who is reputable in doing this proceedure?
-How much does it cost?

Any referals for a trusted source in rebuilding the Busa tranny please serve them up. TIA

You have to remove the engine and disassemble it.There is a good bit of time involved.Back cutting a tranny involves notching the gears to allow smooth meshing.Contact Cloud Nine Motorsports(Daniel 503-786-1407),you can bring it here and we can get the job completed for you.It is quite expensive unless you remove and reinstall the engine yourself but there are some speacial tools required for removal.

Thanks for the input guys. I wonder if there isn't an adjustment that can be made to fix this. Will have to read the service manual and do some research. If anyone has experience with this problem or ideas for fixing please chime in.
