I recently had to change my outputshaft , forks, bearings, etc. Fromosd failure. First ride out tonight, on startup I was hearing a whirring noise, as the engine heats up the noise went away. Going downthe road, fine, highway, fine. All at a sudden rolling the street on 4th gear, bike shuts off rear tire screeching down the road locked up. Lucky nothing hit me. Push to the side. Bike starts in N but it's still in a gear when I release the clutch. Got frustrated for awhile then took off. 1,2,3 rev clickity click then smooth from there. Home. Now I'm afraid to ride it.Help?

Is this the first time you rode the bike??

You don't have any luck with transmissions.

Good luck in the fix though. :beerchug:

sounds almost like a shift fork broke....

Guess what you get to do.....yep tear her down again....fun right

Can you still shift gears up??

you rode it .
it locked up while riding !
then you started it and it rode home fine ?

is that it ?

Something loose inside there, got stuck or jammed momentarily but now free ?
If this is true you have no choice but to open it again ?

Glad you are OK...

In general broken stuff does not fix itself unless your busa is actually a 1958 Plymouth Fury named Christine. Don't ride it anymore until you get to the bottom of the problem. Good Luck.

Funny! Glad you're okay. Hopefully you can get it to a shop for a teardown.
