A friend of mine just got a 2005 cbr 600 and thinks he has a shot at beating my 2008 hayabusa to 160 mph. Both bikes just have slip on exhausts. The only thing that worries me is he weighs 175lbs I weigh 270lbs, should i be worried? We would start from a 30 mph roll.

Have him put some money up, make it worth your time. An actual 160 is at or above a 600's top speed, their rate of acceleration slows drastically once you get them over about 130 MPH.

I ride with a 2013 636 and there's NO WAY possible that he would beat you. Unless you started in 6th. That would make things interesting....

I own a 2005 CBR600RR and a 2011 Hayabusa. No way the 600 is going to beat the Hayabusa in a straight line regardless what speed you start at. Around a racetrack or on twisty road its a different matter. Thats why I own two bikes

Realistically on GPS I don't think his CBR is capable of reaching 160 Actual MPH...not speedo...either way your gonna beat him like a red headed step child...
