I used to work for a highschool district and we were not even allowed to talk to the kids about safe sex, instead we had to talk to them about safe sex. You have to talk to them about both sides of the subject.
This girls mother sounds like the type of parent that I have dealt with before. When they finally find out what happened, they still don't care. Parents that do care about their kids and their future are shocked when they hear about things like this and how that childs parent reacts.
