I don't think "Speedster" has ever been close to a Hayabusa.
Personally i think of the ZX-12 instead of football in order to prevent premature ejaculation !!!
You can't change torque nor horsepower by changing gear ratios. Torque is (simplyfied) hp/rpm. So no matter which gear you're in the torque and hence the horsepower of the engine at a specific rpm will remain the same.
Gas it up in first and as soon as it's up shift to second. Use the 2-finger grip on the clutch. And remember it's never as high up as you think.
