Play in drive sprocket

How much play should I have in front drive with bike in gear, on pit bull stand. I'm not talking in the cush in rear wheel, but in the front sprocket thru transmission. Sorry if I'm not explaining it very well.

The sprockets should have no play in the at all now the chain should have about 1" of play in it now it is normal for there to be some slack in the trans where the bike might role a half inch or so but it shold not be much
