Stupid question about seat re-upholstery

Do you guys just park your bikes while it's being done or do you find another seat for temp? I can't imagine parking my bike for a few weeks.

Maybe winter is the best time to get it done? But then again, we ride year round here in Florida, so I'm not sure any time will be a good time.

I always find a cheap seat on Ebay to use while the other one is getting done. Then I sell the spare back on Ebay.

I did mine over winter. Maybe you can plan to do it when you know that you won't be able to ride. Work, vacation, family, weather, etc...

just fold up a small towel, place it where the seat should be....duct tape it.
