i've got a 07 busa that over the course of the last year is becoming increasing difficult to start. It has around 12k miles on it and when you go to start it up you get the typical fuel pump engaging with the high pitch squeal, but when I try to turn it over it doesn't start. Often times I have to let off the start and let fuel pump engage again before it'll start. I'm leaning towards fuel pump not building sufficient pressure to start. Any advice would be helpful.

Pull pump from tank and be sure regulator is seated and white clip is holding it in place.
When you say start you mean turn over or won't just fire up and run with repeated cranks?
Try this. Cycle the key switch three times before pulling clutch in and see if it starts right away?
