fi and fuel gauge

recently had some work done to 01 busa. paint, tires, oil leak. got the bike back and rode once no prob. now my fuel gauge works when key is turned but reads empty with the light. fi light comes on and goes off at will. and speedo goes haywire. i checked the fuel sending unit to make sure it was connected. do i need to take it to a repair shop or is there a simple fix?

I would check the cluster connector and make sure it's in good and make sure the battery leads are good and snug.

i would guess the back of the speedo could be loose or the wiring to the fuel pump could be loose

I'd suspect a loose ground.

If nothing loose is found I'de ride it with a jumper wire in the white diagnostic plug(red/white to black/white).
At least then when the fi light flashes it will show the code on the dash(C00 means no codes) and will point you in the right direction.
Loose plug or ground sounds right though, especially since bike was recently apart.

Un plug the cluster and re-connect it!
