hey there, I own Busa 1999/1 (First month model)

i have some problem that i couldn't solve it

I expect someone can give me an advice

Let's see

When the engine's hot

It's hard to start it up

I must wait approximately 1 hour!! My Busa allows me to start

But the obstacle which I really doubt is It can start immediately after turn off the engine in 30 min

It cannot start if i turn it off 30min afterward
So that I have to wait an hour My Busa will be started

I personally thing I might be my Battery 'Cause I've used YTX9-BS Battery

It had should be YT12A-BS following the manual instead

What do you suggest me??

i'm from thailand???
and english has been my trouble

Let the good times rolls
Thanks you all

clogged open injectors??? slowly flood the cylinders after shut-off, but the fuel evaporates after an hour.

they suffer with fuel vapour lock issues , basicly the fuel in the pump evapourates and causes an air pressure lock , once the engine has cooled the gas turns back to liquid and your good to go .
i stripped and cleaned the pump on mine ( changed filter & cleaned all screens) they were well chocked , made sure the lagging is around pump properly and had no issues since
do a search on this you may find some more info
good luck

A week ago after I had come back home then I turned off the engine

waiting 40 min and Started it up

It couldn't work that It was

Next
I connected bike battery and car battery together
Held the cluch, press a start button
It was able to work!!!

After that the slow-running was not calm

I have to turn off and start it again

The slow-running become to be calm

???

thats about right , left standing for 40 mins the heat builds up around the pump and evaporates the fuel, Do you notice when it wont start that the pump makes a different sound when you turn the ignition on ?

i would bet this is your problem :beerchug:

OH!!! yes yes

 sound is nothing from the pump

a pump seems like It didn't work

But!!
I doubt After connect battery from car

Why was it able to start??

Maybe an electrical problem. Could be the starter is heat soaking after shut down. If you can start it with a jumper, sounds like the starter has too much resistance from the heat.

get the right sized battery on the bike to eliminate that as a cause.

then see if it's a vapor lock issue.

An undersized battery can easily cause some serious damage to the bike if you have a "kickback" while trying to start it. The early models, 99-2002 are more easily damaged. Get the proper (and a high quality) battery before continuing.

could just be a coincidence , all good advice here , check battery is good then look at vapour lock issue ,

has the pump ever been stripped & cleaned ( properly)

also i heard a rumour ----- next time this happens remove fuel cap & raise tank ( not to loose fuel out of said hole ) then turn ignition on & off a few times ,, this is said to remove air lock

just a thought
