All-
I recently had new tires put on, and afterwards noticed a little squeeking from the front rotors. I looked them over and the pads looked alright, no problem with the caliper mounts. Since it didn't appear to be dragging, I went ahead and rode to Mid-Ohio Superbike races yesterday.
Long story short...my rotors were HOT after the 2 hour interstate session. Coming home, I tagged the fronts to get ready for entrance to an on-ramp, and the brake fade was terrible. I am going to clean the calipers today, but I am concerned as I leave for a 7 hour trip next week. Can't have these issues on the Dragon's tail!
Now I am looking into SS lines and new pads. Anyone have any other suggestions? Or experienced the same issue?
