Could anyone please tell me what hardware is required to convert Busa 2002 lights (low & High) to Zenon instead and from where?

Thanks

These were recommended to me from another member I have them but not installed yet and price was $30 before. now only $15!xenon bulbs

Thank you for your input however, I was told about some major mod such as adding ballast and cable harness in addition to the bulbs ! .

the xenon hyperwhite bulbs are brighteer and come in 100 watt for about 15 at www.tricktape.com but I think you are referring to HID lighting which uses ballast and is about 400 for a set of two. same site. I am looking for someone to split the cost and each person will get one HID light and one ballast for the regular headlight. Just keep the xenon hyperwhite (blue tint) for the high beams.

Xenon bulbs go right in. Kerberos, I think you are right about the Balast type bulb.I installed the Xenon in my bike last week they are sweeeett compared to the factory one. Did not even have to take the bike apart. put it up on the Pit bull stand reached up under neath the fairing and changed them out. Took 10 minutes.

I have HID kits for the busa if anyone is interested. By all means check the web, etc. But at a minimum cost of $459+shipping to $700 online for a complete unit to split is pretty dayumm expensive, just my 02cents.

I have a few complete kits that requires little to minimal work. Just remove nose... (remove mirrors, three allen screws on both sides at fairing, and the push pins on plastic underside of nose & corners oppisite mirrors.) Nose slides forward. Unplug I think one connecter and nose is off. Remove factory bulb. Insert new bulb/socket. Stick pieces in mounting spots with doublesided tape or velcro as in pictures, wire and reinstall nose. Thats it. Bulbs last about 3000 hours, are 35W, and are true legal blues, not painted bulbs. Much much brighter than the 100Watt Xenon plasma bulbs, which are nice bulbs, cheaper, yet melted my sockets. You wont use high beam much, so put a yellow bulb in, have a lexus look, great fog light, be different and go ride. Same set up for a high beam but not needed. Save the money.

$150+shipping. No need to split kits etc. Im a busa enthusiast tryin ta help.. As Rhythem puts it, I got more time than money, and try ta help keep everyones costs to a dag gone minimum.

pics are posted in the merchandise section on this site. I will be able to get more kits if anyone is interested, send me an email.

Ok, from the posts on the Xeon Superwhite bulbs, has anyone that used them had any problems? Iceman said something about the sockets melting, but I thought that was for a HID application.

Tell me about issues or conserns with the Xeon bulbs.

Thanks

A true HID conversion requires bulbs that require and ballast to increase the voltage to around 3,000 to 7,000 volts "I'm not sure on the exact output." You also have to run a nice size power wire from the battery and use relays to increase the current need to fire the ballast. But once you are done you will have day light at night.

Stealth_busa,

The opposite of what you said. The 100W painted bulbs tend to melt your shyttt good. The HID's is what you want. They run at 35W and are numerous times brighter that a 100W w/the 100W high beam on as well. It's like the sun at night. I have three kits left for $150+shipping. Nearly plug n play, minor wiring. HID is so bright, put a yellow in the high beam and pimp a lexus fog light look.... Ask around several peeps have em now........ What ever you buy get the german made ones w/a blue hued bulb. Best mod for the money..
