YR2000 upgrade to gen II (2008) ECU

Is it possible to upgrade the ECU in my YR2000 to a later ECU with CAT (believed to be 2008 Generation II)?

If so what are the pitfalls excluding the 24 tooth timing wheel upgrade?

Off the top of my head, it is going to run like crap without the oxygen sensor.

As far as I know, you can't run a 2008+ ECU because most of the electronics are completely different including the fact that 2008+ have 8 injectors

I would imagine its possible but your going to swap over almost EVERYTHING... probably the whole wire harness with throttle bodies and make the needed fuel system changes to get 2 fuel rail. It would be an interesting build.

Skip both - o2 can be turned off via ECU editor. Cat not needed..

It's quite more different than just that. Throttle bodies are completely different
