I was trying to figure out what the question was until I read the second post. That's funny....always check your work.

Just drill all the rivets out of both end caps of the muffler(s). One cap lifts off, the other is attached to the center perforated tube that runs the inside length of the muffler, the whole thing pulls out. That tube inside has a sheet of packing material wrapped around it, simply unroll it. Put the tube back in and other cap on, put new rivets in the holes, pop them in place and you're done.
The muffler is designed to come apart this way so that you can replace the packing. As the packing gets old it looses it's ability to muffle the sound as well, so alot of people replace it. You however just want to make ALOT of noise:laugh: but the procedure is the same.
