moved 8 miles up the mountain, and now back to the boonies as far as internet is concerned.....

glad I can do 9sec 1/4 miles!!!

having been on the internet speed challenge for the last 6 years, it doesnt surprise me. of course, I have to pay for the remainder of the 2-year BULL poop contract I agreed to.

If you have 2 phone lines at least you can stack the modems. there is a way to do it with 1 phone line also. I had 3 phone lines with 56k modems and was pulling at least 142k, sucks but better then 1 dial up. I just got my cable modem about 6 months ago, because i live out in the sticks.
