X-1 tail mod

So I have a aluminum sub-frame coming in, and saw pics of the Yoshy X-1 sub-frame. It looks like a stock frame cut right behind the rider's seat. Anyone think this is a good idea to save some weight? I would be using a solo tail.

Don't look like there is room for a passenger seat with that sub frame. Not even sure it will work with the OEM tail plastic. I thought the X-1 had dif tail plastic, or were they carbon fiber?
Also a 99-00 subframe is aluminum and still able to use a passenger seat.

So for weight loss

I meant I would be using a 99-00 subframe cut short to X-1 like specs. The passenger seat would be eliminated.
