this guy is an idiot....he deserves to be in jail.
allows his daughter to date a 20 year old loser. then pulls out a gun when he catches them banging, and finds the BF naked...
a gun is for killing people, not too send a message to your daughters boyfriend by pistol whipping, buffalo-ing or fireing over the head....

YEAP THEY CHANGED IT LIKE 7 YEARS AGO, but if your over 18 you still cannot have sex with someone under, the consent is for both parties 14-16 yr old
In some U.S. states a lower age applies when the age gap between partners is small, or when the older partner is below a certain age (usually 18 or 21).

No excuse here, if she was 16 the guy is at fault. Period.
That age law is there specifically so that the guy has to be the one with the common sense and say NO.
Now if the guy was 16 that would be a different story.
Ask for his ID B4 you pull on him.

this is the problem there are so many laws about everything and laws that govern those laws and so on and then theres all the consequences no one is allowed to stand up for what they believe in anymore cant act the way you want nor do what you want, not saying shoooting people is right but if i had a daughter id shot at him too if you arent supposed to be in my house i WILL shoot you because you walking in my door without me knowing you have now become a threat to me........any way im done ill get down of my 
agree Daughter should came clean an loudly when dad grabbed the peacemaker/ equalizer/ thats assuming the daughter knew he was their. If she didn't ................. should have been a head shot.
Well it's rape or statutory rape. If they end up in the same prison or cell I am sure Dad will be getting new charges cause I am sure he ain't finished with him yet
Dads have a hard time letting go even with they getting married at 21 at 16-18 it's either kill em or a shotgun wedding depending on the state.

I agree, but I still would have beat the C#$p out of the guy anyway, make him walk (naked) to the police station with a cardboard sign that says "I am a 20 year old male who likes little girls!!! He might make it there in one piece! Daughter, well she wont be going ANYWHERE unescorted until she is 25!!!
I agree, the girl is equally at fault...but with 10 seconds to make a decision I think family comes first and if the father did not know at that time what the circumstances were, I can see why he would grab a gun and protect his family.
Scorn the girl after he gets outa jail, but shoot the bast...um I mean, shoot a warning shot

I can definitely see this one going either way, and you are exactly right...the guy may not have known the truth. I don't think hiding under the cabinet was a great idea, that's just gonna P the father off more when he finds him. Oh well, wasn't there, gotta know all the circumstances.
I know in my house, daughter there or not...if I find someone hiding in my cabinet he not going to get out too easy.
I dont have a daughter, so I can honestly say what would I have done in this situation. It doesn't matter who you are or where you live though. I would put a guarantee on this, that if any one of you found someone in your "HOME" who you didn't know. You would react in a violant matter. Specially if he was naked hiding in a cabinet of sorts. I know I would have armed myself in this situation. If the daughter knew the guy was there, then it would have been a good time to speak up when the father grabbed the gun. I don't think the father was out of line. Given the information, he did what he thought was right by protecting his family.

no i wouldnt have shot once i realized it was her bf... most people with a violent intent do not enter the home naked...so seeing him as such it would not have been a long logical jump that he was there under full knowledge of the child. i would have immediatly put away the gun told the kid to get dressed and we would have a long talk about this
