my bike won't start, the fuel pump does not start. i have checked the connectors and there is no power to the pump....

any ideas?

is there another fuse, to check for the fuel pump, other than in the main fuse block?

bike will start with with "sure start" or fuel....just needs fuel.

I'm going though the exact same thing.
Owner asked me to sell it.
2007
500  miles
Sat for about 6 months.
He replaced the Batt.
The fuel tank was empty and I added fuel. Fairly strong bas gas smell in tank.
Will start with a shot of carb cleaner into the air box, but won't stay running.
Fuel pump doesn't appear to be running either, no vibs or buzzing.
Didn't have a meter or test lite with me, so will return Mon.
Obviously, I will be checking for power at the pump and relay, but if no power at relay, what next?
Anybody?
Thanks

Check things like the kill switch, kick stand switch, clutch lever switch for corrosion... check the tip over switch too... cant see a fuel pump going out on a 2007 bike unless it is so gunked up it wont work anymore...

Ok, went back and here is what I found;

'06 Calif. model, bill of sale 10/06, so he only put 500 miles on it in 18 months.

No codes, power at the pump. Ran power directly to pump and nothing.

Pulled pump and varnished pretty good. Will try and R&R it tonight.

No broadband here, so can't download the manual.

If there are any "Tips or Tricks", let me know.

Thanks
