Won't start

00 Busa won't start.
Battery is good, checked in at 12.8 volts.
Power to everything.
Fuel pump energizes when the key and kill switch is turned on.
If I jump the starter relay (the battery and starter wires) the bike starts.
Nothing from the starter button when pushed.
Did have (past tense) some clicking form what looks like a relay in front of the starter relay (Same relay that is by the fuses) so I swapped relays because they were the same part number.
I changed the starter relay and still nothing when the starter buton is pushed.
Checked the starter button in the switch housing and everything is attached (don't know if power should be present or ?).
I do have the manual for my bike and followed the flow chart to no avail.
CDI box is new (just because!).
Checked the fuse, it is good as there is power present on both sides.

Where do I start looking and how do I check it?
(I cross posted this so you may see it elsewhere)

Check the clutch connections to make sure something isn't loose (small connecters out of the bakc side of the housing).

Took my test light and checked the terminals while the starter button was pushed in. Power going in but not out.

Pulled the switch off and tested it in my hand, fired right up. Installed it back on the bike and it fired right up. I wonder if there was a piece of debris in there not allowing the contacts to make contact (they are exposed).

Anyway, thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
