Wiring question

Well long story short...I had someone turn in front of me today, and I hit them. Luckily it didn't damage anything but the engine cover. I got the bike home and started tearing into it, and ran across a random wire not hooked up to anything...Any thoughts as to what it was used for? (It's the green wire that shows to have a splice on it) 2002 Hayabusa.

Looking at the schematic
the only solid green wires on the ECM are Ignition coil 4 feed
Or the Crank position sensor

Looks like someone wanted an accurate engine RPM
Datalogger maybe?????

The only wiring reference I could find on a green wire had to do with the turn signals. Would that green wire give a tach ref. for a window switch for a nitrous setup?

unplug the connector and let us know the pin location. That'll solve everything regardless of the wires color.
