Wiring question for smaller turn signals

I just took off the fender, and I bought some cool lockhart phillips signals.

My question is on the stock signals. From the turn signal lamp, the wires just disappear into the tail. Is there a connector in there? Or do I just need to cut the wires and splice them together with the new signals?

the LPs have a nice connector on the end of each wire, but I don't really want to take the tail apart just to find that I have to cut the wires anyway.

Can't tell you if there is a connector in there. I just spliced the wires. They work fine like that!

Actually there is a connector for the rear turnsignals in the tail section. Either way you will have to splice, because the OEM connectors wont necessarily fit the Lockhart turnsiganls. I spliced the Lockhart wires onto the OEM conectors and have had no problems.

Now if i can just find time to put the cigerette lighter in so i can keep my cell phone charged on long trip
