I was thinking about purchasing an iridium wind screen, was wondering if anybody has one and how well they liked it? Best place to get one.

I think the one that Cap raffled off recently was from Street and Track...you may want to ask them....
Been using one since 2000 without any problems. Make you a good deal on one of the better ones.

I had one on my 04LE. The dash melted in a spot (right by the FI light) but I don't think that caused it. Had to sell the bike prior to figuring out the prob. BTW the bike NEVER sat in the sun for long periods of time.

I wouldn't think the windscreen would cause that.

The windscreens WILL cause that. The countour acts like a magnifying glass and when the suns just right itll melt the dash. They sell some checkerboard looking screens that go on the back " no idea where to get them " that stop that. Some newer screens have it made into the screens in the lighter colors or tinted screens. Hope this helps.
i've heard that happening on the screens you can't see through but not on the ones you can.
Purchased my rainbow iridium windscreen from Charles (Street and Track). Man it's a 200% improvment over the stock one. Thanks Charles, your the man.
