I want to roll with a fatter rear tire
and was wondering if it will clear my stock swingarm.

will it?
I heard from a buddy that it'll ride a little smoother on the freeway too over rough areas.

but then I heard it might slow me down a little bit
and especially around turns.

can somoene clarify this for me?

thanks

i heard the stock tire is 198 cm so the 200 will fit no prob but dont quote me on it

thanks......

i'm thinking of rolling with a Metzeler M1 or the Dunlop 208ZR's......

i can't stand the bridgestones, they are garbage.

I have a bridgestone bt 010 200 on my 01 and it is a good tire. It rides smooth seems to wear well and has good grip. I have about 2000 miles on it and so far I
I'm very happy with it.

i just put a 200 bridgestone bt 020 on my 99.  it clears the chain but just barely so make sure your chain is not slacking.  will go back to the 190 the next time around.  i care more about durable and long mileage than grip so i hope i get 10,000 miles out of it. hey taz, what's the latest w/ the r1 and why does your insurance charge you $5000 more just for theft protection?

thanks, I think the Bridgestone actually fatter overall then the dunlop or metzeler......
but i'm def. not slacking any chain.

as for the R1, nothing, nada, i put up a $5,000 reward to get it back, just so I don't take a complete loss.

and as for the insurance situation, don't ask. I live in a seedy part of Los Angeles...... crime is high.
I just checked another place and they quoted me $3,200.00 / year full coverage.

eh, F them.
the BUSA is covered and now covered with Theft as well.

MY TIRES ARE ALMOST BALD! I HAVE 4,200 MILES ON THE SAME TIRES. (BRIDGESTONES)
I guess they can't suck that bad

BUT I DO WANT A 200 REAR

it will fit find. It will take away a little on the twisties from a 190, but not much difference from a stock BT 56

cool, good luck w/ the new tire and finding your bike.

these guys are always pointing out that a 190 measures 198??
ok, so....
a 200 probably measures what?? 208cm??
Just looking at it, the 200 are definately wider than 190.

Whats up Tazeone

I put the Avons 200's on, I have nothing bad to say... the grip is bad azz and as far as the handling, the avons tend to want to dive in rather than having to pull her down like with the bt020's. They are awesome, I am very pleased with the Avon 45/46st's 200 on the rear...

THANKS GUYS.......
AFTER TEARING UP THE CANYONS, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I GUESS I'LL STICK WITH A 190 REAR.....

BUT I'M GONNA ROLL WITH METZELER M1 SPORTECS.

^^^ what kind of tire you got frisbee?

AND WILL A 200 REAR SLOW ME DOWN OVER 100MPH? OR WILL IT MAKE IT FASTER?

okay found the thread.....

JUST CHECKED OUT A TIRE SITE,
THESE AVON'S ARE SPORT TOURING TIRES?
AND THEY HANDLE WELL IN THE CANYONS?
i'm sorry please explain how these out handle
some 208ZR's or Diablo's?

I want a tire that will do both hard street riding, freeway smoothness and really hold it's own in the canyons.

;)
