Love my 07 but hate the gauge cluster. Will second gen guage cluster fit in first gen?

Someone did this. It fit but he had to cut the Gen 1 fairing stay a bit to make it work. The gen1 side panels did not fit very nicely mated to the Gen2 dash I will look for the thread. As for the wiring it is different but since he changed the motor ecu and wire harness also that didn't matter to him. You will need the wire diagram for both bikes if you plan keeping the Gen 1 Harness.

A link to his thread. I think someone else was trying to wire a Gen 2 Dash into there Gen1 harness bike an asked for electrical diagrams to get it done. Don't remember him posting when or if he got it finished.....
