Will 1st Gen air filter fit 2nd Gen????

Hey guys!!! I traded my 01 for an 08. I kept most of my aftermarket parts off of my 01. I was wonder will the KN air filter off of my 01 will fit my 08? If not, no big deal I will just sell this one and get one that will fit.
