This happened last March, The wife and i were out for a ride together.
On the way home a 4x4 cut wide on a roundabout from the inside lane.
My wife ended up going into a van waiting to join the roundabout.
The 4x4 did not stop.
The insurance W/O the bike and i bought it back from them.
I have all the parts and another frame to rebuild it this year.
Wife was in hospital for a few days as she had a bleed on the brain and lacerations to her liver.
She was going to give up riding and just go pillion on the Busa.
But in late August she said she wanted to ride again.
So i was looking for a bike for her and saw for sale her old bike she bought new in 2012.
Within 10-15 mins the bike was bought and paid for over the phone.
When we got it home i spent the next 2 weeks and £740 getting it looking as new for her.
She is doing ok now and is happy she got back to riding herself.
And it nice not having the extra weight on the back of the Busa :poke:

Her Yamaha XJ6F which she had new in 2012 back home after 7 years away.
I sandblasted and repainted every metal part so it is rust free.

Been adding some small mods to the wife bike over the pass year. The last part came today, which was the Ermax seat cowl.
After her crash last year, i'm so happy that she still loves riding.
Also got her a new reg number. The bike is a Yamaha XJ6F, the reg number is Y6 XJF. I think in the states it's called a FZ6R

Amazing she is still wanting to ride...I know if that happened to my wife that would be it for bikes...

Good for her.

The bike looks stellar.
