Who Rode Today?

I rode the Busa to Ocala the fast way (turnpike) then rode a few 2025 Harleys at a demo day then back home the long way thinking… those bikes can’t touch my Busa!
LowRider ST was hot garbage, felt like I was sitting on the toilet and the 117 felt anemic and the foot controls placement is horrid. Hard pass
The RoadGlide CVO was nice but seat, bars, exhaust all needs to be swapped asap! 121 with Vtech…. Pffft…. Garbage.
The Bananarama (Pan America ST) stole the show for me…. Still would have to change some things to make it great but man it was nice! Quick shifter was violent! 1250 twin making 150/90 was enough to pull the front wheel up enough for the nannie’s to kick in!
10/10 going to ride it again at the next Demo day!!
Tomorrow is RoadGlide day….

64 miles round trip to HomeDepot.
No traffic, 37°F
Longest ride in cooler weather I've done on the Goldwing.
The aftermarket adjuatable wind deflectors under the mirrors keep alot of wind off of my hands, enough to keep them warm in my Gerbings Heated gloves...that I did not bring the wire to plug them in with.
The Goldwing also has dash vents like a car that can be manually closed.
they are in the fairing on each side, rear facing, and just below seat level.
All they do is keep in or let out engine heat, and wow, they kept my inner thighs and front of the seat warm, a noticeable difference.
I also ordered a pair of Rivco highway pegs.
The Rivco mount to the centers of the valve covers, and the pegs flip out were they cannot contact the road, or at least they fold back out of the way.
I have learned the hard way that the low mounted highway pegs that I have now are going to get me if I don't get rid of them.
As the full Traxxion lays over quickly with ease, and rails curves, but the low highway pegs, even though the peg folds, the bike will lay down on the peg mount on the road, then hope there is enough time to brake and slow down, before running out into the ditch, lol
I use every bit of lean angle possible, and the aftermarket highway pegs that came on it, even though I moved them, are really limiting the bike's potential, as it rides much better with them off...but old knees like them for stretching out on, so these solve the problem.
Hoprfully they'll be here before next weekend.

Wow! I just don't have the room, Legendary
It was one of the reasons I moved. I built a house with a double garage and two high roof 8m x 9m sheds. The equivalent to a 10 car garage. I also have a field shelter with a good roof but no walls. (Yet) that I have plans for.

It sort of sounds impressive but it cost a fraction of living in the city. Lands cheap out the back of beyond and the council is more supportive.

I know folk in the city with 2 bed apartments that I couldn’t afford if I sold everything I own, you get a bit more for your money out in the sticks, it suits me out here.

Nice! are you gonna sark the inside walls and ceiling? Really keeps the heat out, if you do it right, leave an air gap and mount high speed extractor fans up top. Block looks nice a cleared too. I had one up at Coominya but it was mostly bush, I sold that as it was going to be too much hard work in retirement, and bought a home in a small town down by the scenic rim. It's a big brick home and when I bought it in 2018, before covid, it was half the price of the same in Sunnybank where I was renting a place. I had just enough cash to cover it after the land sale. Now I ride all the time, to all 4 points of the compass. This is just 10 minutes up the road. A far cry from life in sunnybank

Similar.

We had a 5 bed / 3 bath old timber house in inner Brisbane on about 700m2, a brand new 4 bed / 3 bath brick house in the middle of 20 acres was just over half the price as it’s 2 1/2 hours West.

I cashed in some pensions and took early retirement, my wife runs the legal side of a $300b fund and they are happy for her to work from home. Her legal team are everywhere in Qld and NSW.
