Who has experience with turbo jets?

OK guys I want to get a project with my son and I thought about a project that no other kids around here have and that is a jet powered bicycle. I started searching the Internet and I have found several places that sell the engines but I have no other exposure to this. I even found that the idea of a jet on a bicycle has been done many times, actually it seems to be a pretty popular thing. Who can point me in the right direction? Who knows where I can get the best deal and what is the best jet to buy?

I'm building a couple of weed wacker ones with my students this semester, can't help you with the jets!

I work on jets every day but I don't think they'll fit on a bike. Sorry not much help here.
