Whistle From The Gas Cap?

that's jus pressure venting from the tank. perfectly normal. jus airlock. chk ur vent tube. mite need to be cleaned out lotta poop gets caught in there over time. add a thin layer of oil on the gasket of the gas cap too

not sure if Gen I is same as gen II but back right of tank , and you can see the hose by the right side belly pan .

I raised the tank and found the end of the vent hose at the rear of the tank but my hands aren't small enough to get in there and remove it. I could probably pull it off but no way could I reinstall the hose. Is the tank normally removed for this or at least, the rear bolts loosened?

If its fumes coming out, you have nice weather heating up the cool fuel.

If its air getting sucked in, your burning fuel having fun.

It's a Win-Win Whistle !!!

Mine does that, haven't been able to get it to really stop. I tried running a coathanger through the vent line and I think it actually worked for about a week. If it bothers me, I just crack the cap for a few minutes. I live in FL and its hot as hell so I assume pressure from cool fuel over a hot motor makes it unhappy.
