I can't figure out where this little pin goes in my 2004 Hayabusa engine. It is almost the same size as the rod cap alignment pins, just a little larger. Pin size is .124 around by .243 long. I recall removing it so it didn't fall out an get lost. The really sad thing is, I have had the engine disassembled twice before with no issue. Getting old I guess.
Is it maybe #4 in the pic above? You can dig around on ronayers.com's pics and maybe you'll luck out and see it? Unfortunately no measurements were listed for #4.
Cylinder head set pins are not solid, they are dowel-style pins. My bet is that it is a valve cover set pin, they are solid, and there are two of them . . . .
