What's the life expectancy of a turbo

Curious as to how long turbos last, given that they spin pretty fast from what I've read.

Apologies if this question has been answered before, I tried the search but didn't find an answer.

about 10 to 20 engine rebuilds.

assuming you don't run any metal through them, and are half intelligent about letting the turbo cool down after "playing", over 100K miles. Probably more than that actually, because turbo'd bikes wont' see as much percentage of time on boost as a turbo'd car

other factors, such as amount of boost and using a blow off valve will effect things. But in general, it'll last longer than most people own bikes.

the big thing is making sure they have oil and not running crap into the compressor wheel.

if your air filter falls off and sand get sucked in those blades will become eroded very fast.

Depends on how you ride. The turbo will out last the motor rebuilds in most cases. I have 30,000 miles on mine.
