whats the best Helmet

how about a question for you guys in the cold weather. which works good in preventing fogging
and for you guys in the heat which has really good venting

I also vote for an HJC - the AC-12 Carbon. I had a Nolan modular (insert puking emoticon) and it was WAY (insert about 500 more "WAY"s) too heavy. And so I didn't wear it. The lesson:

<div class="iF-Passage"><div class="QUOTEHEAD">Quote:
<div class="QUOTE clearfix"><span class="quoteBegin"> </span>
whichever one fits the best, and as a result makes you wear it every time you ride.
The AC-12 carbon is by far the lightest for the money and I'm happy with the build quality. Also, carbon is teh shweetness.

I like my Shoei RF1000, but the Arai Profile I tried on was awesome, just didnt have the $$$. The RF1000 does fog up easy even when its not cold out.

I have found that the Shoei's slice the atmosphere better than the Arai's; they're a little narrower/and elongated for better aerodynamics.

I have four Shoei and two Arai (and two Icon).

I'd like more gluttony, please.

I have owned a Arai Astral and a Shoei RF-1000. The Rf-1000 is more ventilated. I never feel the heat even in this hot Houston weather. You basically have to try them on. Depending on the shape of your head will help determine which brand you get. I have more of an elongated head than a round head so the Shoei fit better than the Arai. I always felt like my chin was sticking out of the Arai.

Arai profile will be my helmet for life, great great lid and fits my head
like it was custom designed. Super light and the optiacally correct faceshield, betweeen the weight (or lack of it) and the view...I forget I'm wearing a helmet.

and the sinister rulez (also my helmet for life

I can not stress the importance of spending a little coin on a real quality lid, it not only
will save your life but enhance each and every ride enjoyment.

I get comments on my helmet form the Kawi demo girl escort rider at bikeweek to walking thru wall mart.

Arai's are still probably the best made, most comfortable helmets on the market.

But I've got an RF1000 I've been wearing lately. I like it ok, works fine, but not as comfy as the Arai's.
