I ride a Buell X1 that is pretty well modified, and let's face it the inline fours are hard to keep with. I agree with enough cash anything is possible, but, BIG BUT. Harley's are not designed for speed.

BTW you are probably wondering why this guy with the Buell is lurking around. Well hopefully by the end of this season I, in my mind, will feel I am ready for the Busa.

christos, welcome... thanks for the honest answer... By the way all my brothers have HDs and they all bust my nuts for riding as they say Jap crap... There is a limit to how far you can build a HD before you have to go away from the HD parts and the bike only looks like a HD. Then to get it to run faster than a Busa you will lose the ability to be able to ride it all the itme on the street. christos if you step up to a Busa you will never look back, it will be love at first bite!!!
