If you have the chance, you should go just to enjoy the experience. There are plenty more great roads around there, but you should see the Tree of Shame and ride the Dragon once if you get the chance.

I have been many times and usually spend a fraction of my time up there actually on the Dragon.

I agree it really isn't as bad as everyone says. When I go i leave at 4 in the morning and go straight down to Knoxville then turn south. Go down the Dragon once which is about 9:30 ish in the morning. Stop at the store eat and rest. Then on to all of the other roads. I do a round trip in about 14 hrs. I did this trip 4 times last year. And leaving on the 20th for my next. Good times.
