What non-performance mods do ya have?

BusaGeek,

Sign me up, I would definitely like one!! If you need any help building them, let me know. Would be more than happy to give a hand.

As far as non-performance mods:

1.) All idiot-proof stickers removed.
2.) All reflectors removed.
3.) Weights on footpegs removed.
4.) Bar-end weights removed, replaced with bar-end sliders.
5.) Frame-sliders installed (saved my side panels already!!
6.) Swingarm-sliders installed.
7.) Tank-bra (LP Carbon 1/2 tank).
8.) Tank quick-release installed.

This long weekend:

1.) Muzzy aluminum fan.
2.) Rear fender trim (still waiting to hear from KawAbuser on the carbon fiber unit he has...where are you Mike?!?!) :)

These don't count as non-performance but...
Also this weekend:

1.) TBR SS-4-2-1 C5 X-Metal Exhaust.
2.) DynoJet PowerCommander II EFI Module (can't wait to hook this baby up to my new Dell laptop!!) :)

Coming soon:

1.) DyMag Custom Carbon Wheels(Carbon Fiber Rim/Magnesium 3-Spokes)currently on back-order.
2.) Michelin Sport Pilots (you guessed it, currently on backorder...may go with 200) :)
3.) LP Carbon Fiber mirrors.
4.) LP Carbon Fiber gearcase covers (cover up that little scratch on the left from the fall-over last week, that only I probably notice!!) :)

Looking into:
1.) Lighter brake rotors and new pads.
2.) Braided or Kevlar brake hoses.
3.) Modifying hump for storage.
4.) Yellow Box speedometer calibrator.
5.) Valentine 1 Detector and steering head mount (can't remember the name of it, that's what happens when you get to 35 and only have sex, bikes, sex, hockey, sex, computers, and sex on the mind!!) :)
6.) KawAbuser's interface for integrating sound, cell phone, detector into a listenable helmet source (Mike, I'll get down to CT soon to check that out) :)

All I can think of right now. I'll post all the installs and info up on my site as I go along:

www.mountainbikes.net/ed

BTW, that URL will change when I get my webserver and domain set up, I'll post and let everyone know.

Peace everyone, and have a fast, safe 4th of July weekend. Would hate to read about any of you in the boards come next Wednesday!!

Hey Busageek,

Great job. I'll hold off my circuit fabrication for a while since you're already got a handle on your package. Is it gonna be an assembled unit or a kit?

Thanks again.

Busagringo,
All the electronics will be assembled and tested. You'll just have to deal with mounting it on the bike and connecting to the bike's wiring.

Havent done much but I have done these things:
Chromed stock wheels
Polish Rotors
Installed: flat oval turn indicators inside the tear drop looking holes on the sides of the rear plastic cowling(where the grab rail is on the left side)Totally flush blinkers, cant see'em from the rear at all unless they are on.

Mounted license plate and light IN the rear fender well in front of the tire. Attached under the ECM. You can only see it from behind and if your down low. Like in a car. No Tickets yet, but I am waiting patiently!

Second look tank skin
Yellow Box
Removed all reflectors and stickers
Oh also have an original "Shrunken Head"painted green and on the dash. Representing dead 12 R's.
Have buffed out the paint on the whole bike. This thing is slick and sleek

BusaGeek, with that # of lines of code couldn't you use BS 80 line modules? these are only £14+VAT in the UK (Maplin) so they are probably even cheaper in the US.
