What do i have to change to use 2 inch lower pegs w/ factory exhaust gen2

I would like to use 2 inch lower pegs but on the makers site said a mod to the factory exhaust would have to be made so that it wouldn't hit it or something of that nature, anyone know what that is? I know I could use 1 inch drop, but was wanting two. Any input welcome. thanks Randy
