I have not had a chance to run the 1/4 yetsince I have only had my busa for 2 weeks, but I did go to my local 1/8 track this weekend. My bike is an 02 just lowered, strapped, and two bro's bolt-ons. My best pass was 6.54 at 113mph with a 1.63 60'.

must have raced before

Actually, only a couple times with a bike on a dragstrip.

10.05@140.08 I have about 45-50 runs now. Still on pump gas, only have a front strap and lowering links. 1.701 60' times. Stock 04 Limited Edition Busa 245lbs suited up driver.

Went 10.16 on a stock Busa with only a strap...went 10.31 without anything done to the bike...stock everything...and this was on a 01

My first and only run I've ever done [Thanks rain!] was 1/8 mile: 7.2896 107.78 MPH with a crap start. nobody told me the tree starts when I rollled all the way up! n00b ALERT!

First night at the track my best et was a 10.14. Stock exhaust and all. I'm 235 suited up. I might add that my front was strapped, rear was lowered an inch or so and a 16t front sprocket. 60ft time of 1.65... Going to the track again this week hoping to trim a little more off.

10.45 bone stock as delivered from dealer. 10.23 lowered with triple tree and links i made at work-- no strap. 10.13 with 16t front sprocket and strap--still bone stock otherwise. Now its time for mods--especially that temperamental clutch!!!

Well, being that I am up here at 5300' altitude, I have less than stunning runs.

Stone stock 2001 model.
I weighed in at 285lbs suited.

My very first pass was a 12.20et @ 125mph. More of a shakedown pass.

Then ran 11.70et @126mph, 11.50et@127mph, 11.20et @127mph, 11.08et @129mph.

My best being the 11.08et @129mph w/1.92 60ft. time plus not getting full throttle lock until around 100ft. out.

I find that I slide back on the stock seat and it throws me off as well as help the bike wheelie easier. Trying to slide the clutch one iota is a real b!&$ch too.

This isn't my drag bike but I would like to see better times.

Now that I have Yosh Cams, Brock/Hindle, BMC Race filter, Ram-air seals, 16/41, PCII w/Brock map, pair valve removed, lost 20lbs, I have a best of 10.70et @136mph w/1.90 60ft. w/clutch just about gone.

I should be able to get a 1.65-1.70 with new clutch, clutch mod and clutch cushion. That'll put me in the low 10's. Lose another 45lbs. and I will be so close to a high 9 without lowering the bike.

first run 11.023@132.52 mph bad reaction time
down.gif

best run 10.738 @ 121.27 (let off) ran under dial in
best trap speed 134.08 mph

*Ignition retard set up from factory kills 60' times*
I had 600cc having better 60' times but my mph 134 vs 119 - All top end on this one , may get the bypass module to play with this summer to get, feel and see the difference

I ran a 10.89 first time out. I had raced my 02 R1 a few times so I had an idea what i was doing. Best at the end of the season was a 9.91 at 146MPH. This on a stock bike with a full hmf system, tre, and lowered. Everything else stock including the battleaxe tire.:D

1st time out last year pulled a 11.0.Now after akro and pc111 and a few more times out, consistant 9.80's. with stock wheel base and gearing.I weigh in at 235 with gear.So the lighter you are the faster times you should have, after practice of corse.I've gone turbo now, cant wait untill spring.

My first time on the track(end of the first week I had the bike) I took her down the track and run a 11.86 @ 130. LOL I couldn't launch it for ####. Hell this was the first bike I had ever even owned.. much less raced a bike.

But I learned how to launch it now and I'm waiting on a chance to go back to the track
