What did you do to your other motorcycle today ?

And…….. as I was falling asleep on the couch Mr. fedex knocked on my door. Most expensive brake I own, but man is it a work of art!

You guys keep it up, and maybe one day you'll get to work on state of the art equipment like I do............lmao
This belongs to another another friend.
A Polaris Predator 50cc
It won't run(no idea why??)
And the kicker is stuck down.
The belt box was full of silt, and had the starter gear jammed.
I need to do some cleaning(understatement), and order a carburetor rebuild kit to get a new needle and seat.
It should be good to go then.
Next, the ceramic transmission and wheel bearings, new tires, and clutch in the '18 gsxr1k, then, on to my 03 gsxr1k.
This is all that's in my way...other that time to do more and waiting on parts.
And, since we love pictures...behold...the mini Poo!!
lmao

Reassembled my waste gate with the .2 Bar Gate spring after testing the rest
funny note you can stack 4 springs inside each other for 1.5 bar HEHEHEHE

Also got my Second Megasquirt 3 to accept the first ones tune and config
Bike runs exactly the same with both units
Now I am boxing up the newer one to to ship out to have a guy see if he can add another four injector feeds, either thru OEM connector or Add a pigtail

Well since the thread is up

For those who are unaware, Harley vents the crankcase through the head bolts that the air cleaner mounts with. It vents into the throttle body and is burned up in the cylinders…..at least that’s what they say. Most of it leaks down into the air filter and eventually if you don’t pay attention on your motor. Well I drilled and tapped my new air cleaner and routed the oil into a homemade catch can. It has a baffle of sorts and vents to the ground from the side, not seen in pictures.

The set screw is blocking the vent where the oil came in at.

This looks sweet!
I need to get off my tail and do this… may just wait until the TMan Performance No Loss swap and just do it then.

You have a milwaukee 8 don't you? The fatbob that belongs to my buddy that was in my shop ended up going into harley to get rebuilt because of the sumping issues and the cylinders getting destroyed luckily he had bought an extended warranty. He would ride his real hard and have the issue with oil pouring out the air cleaner which was real annoying so maybe I'll look into doing something like this for him.

Yes I have the M8. I’ve been worried about the dumping issues with these. From my understanding it was corrected in 2020 with a new design oil pump. I plan on doing a cam swap in the future and with that a new cam chest which has an upgraded oil pump. I don’t ride hard although my highway speed is usually 75-85 to keep up out here. I have the extended warranty as well. If it craps out Harley can rebuild it for sure.

I can send a parts list of what I used but there are better that can be made or bought out there.

Nice set up. I did some thing like that to my 2001 Sportster and ran the hose down to the rear chain and used it as an oiler. Too bad the chain is off my B King and it'a O-ring type LOL, been on the Sportster for almost 8 years now.

I believe they did replace the oil pump with the new style when they rebuilt his top end so hoping he doesn't have anymore issues. He definitely rode his real hard, he'd be on it and everyone else on rockets and he'd stay cruising with us till around 110 or so.

Started on the next round of mods for the 2018 Gsxr1000R, the quick and easy ones.
Got rid of the Puig winglets, as they do upset the handling, and replaced the bar- end mirrors and mirror block-offs with a pair of Rizoma mirrors.
Also swapped the stock levers for CRG shortys that are real matte carbon fiber.
The levers have a slighly different angle than stock, adjust out to engage/disengage further from the bars than stock, and weigh at least half of what the stock ones do(sorry, no scale that measures that small accurately here, my friend is bringing one so we can check them, they each come on/off with one bolt).
These levers feel noticeably better than stock.
I have to get the stock bar-ends to put back in place of the ones that hold the bar-end mirrors.
The Rizomas are very well made, and solid, with a good field of view.
I have yet to ride it with them, but am optomistic that they are going to be a big improvement.
He wanted black, $500 a pair, but got these for $300 as a new open-box buy from Revzilla...so silver it is.
Lots more mods to come soon, and I already have the parts, but again, these were quick and easy, and I think a big improvement in looks and function.
