I was able to get in the garage long enough to install the red windscreen my 15 year old bought me for my bday. Been wanting to put one of these on for awhile, sure it's nice when they get old enough to work and wanna go out of there way to give you a present they know you want.
You got a good one! Only thing my 15 year old gives me is a damn headache....

here's a few things I ordered online today, it's gonna take a couple of weeks to have them freighted this far out in the Galaxy, but should be worth the wait . . .

Below, decals for the tail, I may not use them, I want to see how they look first,

I thought this tank pad looked cool with the big 'S' and the lightning with black and blue colours . . .

I ordered this one as a spare, they are only $6 so why not?

I couldn't resist this fuel cap, it's not the real deal, but hey, ya never know . . it may just be OK for me on a tight budget lol

Here's another pic of the fuel cap on the top left, showing the underside and the colour range . . . look alright I reckon eh?

Be interested in your thoughts . . I need a bit of feedback so I cxan know if I'm outta line on the mods I'm choosing.
Thanks guys!
Below are the rim tape stickers I've fitted but they look so much better on the wheels in the flesh so to speak!

Love the rim tape and tank pads, not so much the knock off fuel cap. Be better to save up a while and get the real deal In my opinion. A crappy fuel cap can allow evaporation, costing you more in the long run....

Trust me i get plenty of those as well from him, but I'm definitely proud of him. He was asking to work since he was about 13 and as soon as he hit 15 he was at the corner mc Donald's putting in an application and been working almost a year now.
Sounds like a good kid. Mine is too much like I was methinks.....hes fundamentally a good kid, but good grief he is a pita sometimes!

Yep looks real good, I really like that shape screen but I've never seen one that shape for a gen 1, the gen 1 double bubble screens are completely different

Is the school leaving age 15 in the US? In NZ it was 15 when I left high school, and I also got the hell outta there when I was 15, teachers hated me and advised me to go find a job coz I'm not "fitting in and appear to have no interest in learning" lol.
The NZ leaving age is now 16, but it surprises me its 15 in the States?

No, 17 or 18, just depending on when your birthday is.

He's still in school just spends his weekends working. I believe it's only 18 hours a week he can work until he turns 16 in 2 weeks then here's allowed more hours.

It's a Yana Shiki R series, it might just be a generic pic they use but when i look it up in Amazon for the Gen 1 it shows the same one

No plans for spray bro , will be accumulation of components , banked till ready to assemble . This L2 may STILL not be the killer build , I am undecided as stated in my earlier post . I will have 2 Busa eventually , and I have plenty of time while I buy parts to see how things pan out . The L2 is just so nice to ride at this point , it may be the mild built motor bike of the two as originally intended , as I have cams put away for it and with some headwork in mind , valve springs and ti retainers and lighter pistons etc. , that way it will remain my very nice to ride hills bike .
The motor Mike is advising on will be a stroker , and we try for bulletproof , it will be best in a lowered hot rod build , but anything I build to ride is going on the street , and I can easily lower my bike and raise it , even the L2 can be changed around in a day or so if I ever want .
I am moving forward on this .
Hi. I will plan out a wild super strong motor from the ram air to the tip of the exhaust. Also one a little more mild. I just order my Inconal exhaust valves some fuel system parts, and a cool black t poop from DME. Also looking at Inconal 600,625 and 718 for some other parts I will find out whitch grade will work best. Melting point of 625 is 2340 to 2480.

Today wasn’t too good of a day for Blue Phoenix.
Started productive, finished painting radiator and wiring up the dual fans. Installed all hoses and filled coolant. Ran bike for a bit and had a leak under tank. Found a clamp I never fully tightened.
Tightened it down leak gone, ran bike up to temp and another leak. Of course it was from the weld :banghead::banghead:.
No biggie but now I have to pull the radiator again.

I hate it when that kind of thing happens. Having to take something apart again when you just get done with it...
