Well I see they rushed the bill thru despite public opinion and lack of
constitutionality. I can't believe they tout this a "victory" :banghead:.

It amounts to nothing but govt' thievery and healthcare/welfare.

It kills me, in the next breath they...

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Senate voted Thursday to raise the ceiling on the government debt to $12.4 trillion, a massive increase over the current limit and a political problem that President Barack Obama has promised to address next year.

Insanity has run amok.

So...how do you think...Obamanation is going to "address" the debt. problem
next year? Do you think he's going to spend less  or continue to tax us
even more.

The backlash will be interesting...wait till people who don't have insurance
and don't want insurance (the very young early 20-30s) have to start paying
$500+ a month for the worthless.

merry....christmas

We have the chance in 2010 to kick most of the thieves out. I intend to do my part. It is my intention to send a loud and clear message that we will not have legislation slammed down our throats that we do not want and do not support. Every major poll shows that the majority of Americans did not want this. Time for them to pay the piper while I my retirement goes <poof>.

Hopefully the backlash in the 2010 election will have the dems loosing their
:moon: and the congress will shift back to Rep.

That should help neurtralize Chairman Mao a little bit and maybe reverse
some of this BS. Be funny if they impeached his socialist :moon:

He should read the Consitution. Yes it is a govt' hampering document...it's
supposed to be and it's for a REASON. Course that statement should be
applied to ALL OF CONGRESS.

I don't think you should elegible to run for congress unless you pass a test,
largely based on the consitituion.

I also believe that's why they pushed so hard to get it thru NOW...
Screw the American public in 2009 and then smooze and promise more
freebe stuff in 2010 to get the votes back.

I don't think it will work this time (shouldn't worked last time :banghead:).

Dumbest comment I know..."Oh give him a chance, how much damage can he
do?"

i like how they gave a certain state breaks just so they voted for this bullcrap...shows our congress needs a complete overhaul of the morons running it...

and obama kiss my :moon:

And let MORE THIEVES in !!

The Health Care Bill is a disappointment. It has been exploited like a $2 dollar *****.

Sad deal.

Merry Christmas, we'll pay for it later, and later, and later ................

I know...isn't that amazing. What a load of horsesht.

Where do you see it being unconstituional?

Next thing you know we will have to insure our vehicles too....

Vehicles are not licensed by the federal govt' (it's state) and if I CHOOSE not to drive
(and not get insurance) that is my right. Driving is not a right.
Tell me where I have THE RIGHT in their new bill NOT to BUY health insurance.

This would be very similar if the federal govt' forced everyone to buy car
insurance, whether or not we even own a car (we have to buy insurance anyway)
and then subsidized the "dead wieghts" and payed for their car insurance for them...BINGO.
And that would be consitituional?

Insurance is a "GOOD". Where does the fed get off telling me I have to
pay or overpay for a GOOD?...to help subsidize people who "can't" or
wont pay. And for the first time in history I/WE HAVE to purchase a GOOD
just to remain legal...that is BS my friend.

Show me in the consitituion where they have the right to do that?

State required auto insurance is law to protect the property rights of others not you. If you opt to insure to protect yourself you can. In Florida you don't even have to insure your bike.

It's nothing that President Obama wanted and it cost him and the DNC everything IMHO and the tax payers billions in bribes. Nebraska doesn't even have to help support this mess. Pretty nifty...... Has Congress passed the Healthcare Bill ? Has the President signed it into law ? I wonder what the next wonderful emergency legislation that nobody can see will be.

What A Joke

Hey bro you are the one who said it was unconstitutional. I am just asking if you can actually point out where it violates the rights granted in the constitution or if you are just ranting.

I do agree with you on your assessment of insurance. I don't like the bill becaue it is a form of corporate welfare for insurance companies. Health ,just like public safety, should be available and free for all Americans regardless of income. No insurance companies necessary.

And that's where our opinions digress.

I respectfully submit:

Health is not a right and should not be available for free.

Dr.'s pay lots of money to go to school to learn their trade and they should not have to give it away because some people want free healthcare. If it weren't for Dr.'s being $$-motivated we would not have the leaps and bounds in medicine that we have had. When it is socialized and equalized the quality of our Dr.'s will decrease and innovation will halt.

Government provided healthcare or even access to healthcare is not a right.
Let me rephrase that. If you are a socialist, you consider it a right. Socialists tend to identify "rights" as "equality of outcome"; meaning that everyone gets the same thing.

It would be like saying, "Access to high-speed internet is a right, therefore it should be government subsidized for everyone that can't afford it and those who can should pay more for those who can't".

I'm sorry if you can't afford healthcare but not everyone can have everything and up until now we were not a socialist country. Unfortunately IMO we are quickly being steered that way.

</submission>

I won't let what this administration is doing come between me, my family and my friends (that's you folks). I'm going to have a great Christmas and when I get back I will do everything I can to stop this administration and any legislator who supports their idiology. (yes, I typed it as idiology instead of ideology, there was a reason for it)

Are you really equating health care to internet service?

So is police protection and education a right? Why those and not health care? Maybe we should do away with public schools and only educate those that can afford private school. Same with police, do away with the police and you have to pay for your own security and investigative work is a crime is committed against you.

At the end of the day I think you are wrong, good health care should be expected and provided free for everyone. It is not something that should be exclusive for the wealthy only. Since it is Christmas and you mentioned idiology, ask yourself what would Jesus think about your belief that health care should be a business? Did He seek payment for healing? How can anyone possibly be a Christian and not believe everyone deserves to be cared for?

The govt' did making broadband part of "stimulas" package.

As far as public schools, I think there should be a voucher program.
Police = getting robbed for healthcare...your reaching.

Policework is a COMMUNITY-PROTECTION, much as our country's defense is, and not a right.

A right is inalienable. If there are no doctors do you have a right to see one? If there are none, that's rather difficult. If we had 1/2 the number of Dr.'s we had today because they got out of the field, does the government mandate that certain students become Dr.'s to fill the void? When does their right to choose a career get superceded by the government's obligation to fulfill your right to a doctor?

RE: Education, I think you're onto something. If you can't afford for your kids to get an education, you either shouldn't have kids or the kids don't get one. Education is not a right. It's a privilege. A privilege that is extended to many that don't want it and scoff at it. If they don't want to learn I cannot force them to learn. I put my daughter through private school because the quality of public education is so low as to be unreasonable. The same thing will happen with your healthcare.

A right is a right regardless of it's size. So equating healthcare to internet is perfectly legit. They are the same, non-rights and therefore should not be mandated by government.
