So last year a buddy of mine was in a bad accident... a lady stopped out of the blue on a 2 lane road in front of him and he rear ended her. There was nothing that he could do to stop in time with how fast she stopped, Joe was an amazing rider and could launch just about any bike better than its owner on his first time on the bike. Joe now walks with a specialized walker and has lost the use of one arm and has undergone intensive physical therapy to be able to walk again and surgeries trying to regain use of his arm again which we all hope he will be able to use again. I just wanted to put this out there as a reminder of how easy it is to have something happen in the blink of an eye.

Always hate hear of a brother rider having troubles:down: best wishes to him:please:

From my dunce stool :cookoo:

thanks guys... its easy to be out riding and not think about things until it happens to people close to you. Ive buried several fellow riders and i guess my motto is that i will die doing something i love before i let someone else take my life but that doesnt make people not paying attention any less important.

I pretty much avoid traffic as much as possible. I'm fortunate enough to live on the edge of beautiful riding country, 10 minutes from my house is all the open road, car free riding I want. I never head the other way into town on my bike, too many folks always trying to kill me. I use the car for the urban warfare

Stark reminder of how life can be...I am sorry about your friend.
