Water/methanal injection aluminum tanks

For guys running water/meth injection, does the methanol corrode the aluminum tank? Right now I’m running straight water was going to try Boost Juice water/meth mix, but I hear a lot of take about how corrosive methanol is, water to hear from you guys that run it.

Hi. Yes it is. I think that they have plastic meth tanks. I also think that some auminum matrix may work. Were you planing to use an aluminum tank?

You will be fine. If it was straight meth I would be worried but it’s only 49% meth I believe. Rcc sells a aluminum tank so I would have to believe it’s just fine.

Also a lot of grudge bikes and prostreet bikes run straight meth and I don’t hear them running into a problem

one season I used a old paintball can that I pressurized the top with boost pressure
used a boost actuated switch to turn it on and off.

Paintball can did eventually corrode a little, with only WW fluid
