Water injection overkill for 10# boost?

I just redone my engine and changed to 9 to 1 turbo pistons. I want to run pump gas on the street with 10 pounds of boost. I have a Snow Perfomance water injection kit that I was going to install. I was planning on running a 50/50 mix of alcohol and water. Is the water injection overkill or unneeded for the street? When I go the the track I will be running C-14 fuel. I was originally going with the water injection as a safety to prevent damage. Would the 9 to 1 engine be safe on 10 pounds of boost on pump gas or not? Should I use the water injection or not? Kind of confused on this so any help would be appreciated.

Also, would a timing retard be needed? Would one be better than the other or should I run both? If a timing retard would be recommended, how much timing should be pulled out?
